So... you've read something I've written about how we need multiparty democracy in America, and you're thinking: Hey, that sounds right! How do I make that happen?
Well, it ain't easy. But we gotta start somewhere. So here are two basic things you can do.
Get involved and stay informed

Ideas matter. But they only matter if people talk about them. Our collective sense of what is possible depends on what people around us think is possible. So if you think multiparty democracy is a good idea, share articles and insights with friends and family.
Many Americans have only experienced one way of doing democracy — a two-party system, with single-winner plurality elections. And that experience is so familiar that it is hard to imagine something else.
Change happens when the previously familiar becomes strange, and the previously strange becomes familiar. We are in this process now. The possibilities are expanding. Each of us has a role in shaping the future through the conversations we have and the ideas we share.
